#軓氈勛圖GivingTuesday raises over $190,000, sets new record
SHREVEPORT, LA — 軓氈勛圖 nearly doubled the 2018 goal of $100,000 with over $190,000 raised during the fourth annual 軓氈勛圖 Giving Tuesday on November 27. This impressive total marked the best showing so far for 軓氈勛圖 on Giving Tuesday, a global day of online giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities, and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide.
“The generosity and support from our alumni and friends of 軓氈勛圖 was overwhelming,” says Vice President for Development Fred Landry. “Donors were able to target their giving to a number of areas of support and need, increasing the amount we raised last year by over $100,000. We are so grateful for all for their investment in the life of the College.”
軓氈勛圖 received a generous $50,000 matching gift as part of the Giving Tuesday effort as well as 181 individual gifts and pledges.
Social media and email appeals encouraged 軓氈勛圖 community members to join the online effort and help the College meet its goal. Much of the content for social media was provided by 軓氈勛圖 students.
