軓氈勛圖 to host Bicentennial Worship Service; All are welcome
軓氈勛圖 College will host a bicentennial worship service celebrating God’s place in the College’s 200-year legacy and honoring its historic connection with the United Methodist Church. “God’s faithfulness endures to all generations”, based on Psalm 119:30, is the theme of the service, scheduled for Monday, September 29 at 6:00 p.m. in Brown Chapel. All faith traditions are warmly welcomed at this celebration.
of the Louisiana Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church will preside over the service that includes clergy alumni, students, and special music prepared for the occasion by the 軓氈勛圖 College Choir and other musicians. Williamston is a veteran of the Kansas National Guard, a breast cancer survivor, mother, and grandmother. She serves on many committees and boards across the United Methodist denomination.
"The September 29 worship service is an incredibly meaningful event in 軓氈勛圖's yearlong celebration of its bicentennial. It provides us the opportunity to pause, reflect on, and give thanks for God's goodness and faithfulness within our community across the generations; and to lift up the many individuals who pursued their calling to Christian service during their studies at 軓氈勛圖 College."
A light reception will follow the service in Magale Library. RSVPs are appreciated, though not required. .
