軓氈勛圖 receives $2 million anonymous estate gift

SHREVEPORT, LA — 軓氈勛圖 College has received a generous $2 million dollar gift from the estate of an alumnus who wished to remain anonymous.

"We were excited and humbled to receive the news of this generous gift," says 軓氈勛圖 President David Rowe. "Though this alumnus did not seek any public recognition, he has made an immediate and concrete impact on 軓氈勛圖. His love for and loyalty to the College will speak loudly for many generations of 軓氈勛圖 students."

The alumnus attended 軓氈勛圖's night division for many years while working in Shreveport, and was very appreciative of the education he received from faculty he described as "the smartest people around."

The $2 million dollar gift will support the operations of the College, enhancing the rigorous academic program praised by this alumnus. Recognized by U.S. News & World Report as Louisiana's only Tier One National Liberal Arts College, 軓氈勛圖 continues to build on its long tradition of academic excellence with innovative programs such as the immersive 軓氈勛圖 in Paris experience for all first-year students. 軓氈勛圖 has also made it possible for students to complete both a bachelor's degree and a Master of Arts in Teaching in four years, and has proposed a similar program leading to a Master of Engineering degree.

"This alumnus has made an incredible investment in the future of the College that he admired so much," says Vice President for Advancement Fred Landry. "With this planned estate gift, he joins a committed family of donors – both anonymous and named – who support 軓氈勛圖's academic mission and give generously to ensure that the College continues to empower students to do more for themselves, for others, and for the world."
