軓氈勛圖 Admission hosts Fall Open House October 21
SHREVEPORT, LA — 軓氈勛圖 hosts its Fall Open House on Saturday, October 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The program introduces prospective students and families to 軓氈勛圖’s distinctive academic programs and introduces them to the College’s 65-acre campus in Shreveport’s Highland neighborhood. This year, Open House also coincides with 軓氈勛圖’s Homecoming weekend.
“We’re excited to host our Fall Open House in conjunction with 軓氈勛圖’s Homecoming this year,” says Lauren Hawkins, associate director of admission at 軓氈勛圖. “We’ll be able to showcase our beautiful campus for prospective students and families while giving them a chance to experience first-hand the strong sense of community that 軓氈勛圖 creates for both current students and alumni.”
The Open House begins with breakfast and an information session covering admission and financial aid. Following an interactive campus tour led by Student Ambassadors, Open House visitors will learn about academic programs and student life from an academic browse in 軓氈勛圖’s Magale Library. The Open House officially concludes with lunch at the Homecoming Tailgate outside the Gold Dome, but students and families have the option to enjoy several other Homecoming events on campus that afternoon, including the annual Alumni Baseball Game, an athletics recognition ceremony, and a Ladies volleyball game.
“I can’t wait to meet all of the prospective students and families!” says Elizabeth Sander, head student ambassador at 軓氈勛圖. “軓氈勛圖 pride will be overflowing during Homecoming weekend, so it’s the perfect time to show off the 軓氈勛圖 experience.”
High school seniors who attend the Open House and apply to 軓氈勛圖 by December 15 will automatically qualify for the $5,000 per year Campus Visit Scholarship.
